Bullet Time!

(Bullets mean my life is crazy busy but I still want to do an update of what’s been going on in my life)

  • #1, I had Bronchitis for a couple weeks and accomplished absolutely nothing for two and a half weeks. Absolutely miserable.
  • Rachel got a major sinus infection and Steven got Pneumonia. The two people I’m around the most were dying along with me.
  • I’m loving my second nephew Eli, he is SO adorable!
  • Getting Christmas stuff ready, going to parties, decorating (That never end!) and all that holiday jazz keeping me uber busy
  • Pulled a muscle in my neck from coughing that was the absolute worst pulled muscle of my life.  I couldn’t turn my head for two days.  It still hurts and keeps me up at night.  Guess I must be pretty violent in my coughing fits.
  • The investigational drug I’m on just isn’t doing the trick for my migraines so I’m going on a daily preventative come the day after Christmas.  It’s Topamax and has great results from what I’ve read online.  I’ve just been too chicken to take something that is in my system 24/7 the rest of my life. Oh well, it’s worth it to be headache free.
  • Michelle (Wright) is PREGNANT and I’m SO EXCITED!!!!!!
Life is pretty good these days.  High stress and crazy emotional days where I feel like moving to a hole in the ground for a while (like today) but life is going good. I just need to get organized and start living life the way that will make me the happiest.  I’m too much of a procrastinator, I haven’t been living how I believe I should be and pretty much just need to kick my butt into gear.  I've started doing several things to help with that and as of now, day 1, it’s going good.  Kind of starting my new year's Life’s resolutions now.  Let’s hope I do it!

I'm an aunt again!!

After about 11 hours of labor, Michelle gave birth to little Eli.  Half Samoan Babies are so cute!  I've been sick with bronchitis since Thanksgiving and haven't been thinking straight, thus not charging my phone, so it died before he was born.  Also my camera could only hold about 30 pictures before it died too.  So it will be a bit before I get any of my own pictures posted.  But here are some gorgeous pictures taken at the hospital for your enjoyment.

Miles loves "baby" and wants to play with him already.  It's adorable to watch Miles with him.  Michelle gets to come home from the hospital tomorrow morning and we'll get to play with this little guy!  Well, after I'm over my plague, then I'll be able to.  Yay for babies!

Life has been good this past while. I always seem to have a million things to keep me busy, which is a good thing.

General Conference was great. I got to watch it on a huge screen in HD at Steven's house. Awesome! I still have a couple talks I need to watch that I missed, but everything I did hear I loved. This conference of course caused a lot of controversy with President Packer's talk. All I have to say is that he said what has been the church's stance from the beginning, nothing has changed. I believe he is a chosen leader of God and gets direct revelation from God, so his word is the same as if it came from God's mouth. I support him and the church 110%. The world is changing and it is changing for future events that will come to pass. It's scary, but I'm not worried about it. I know what I believe, and I"m ok with it.

The migraine research thing has been going well. In the 3 weeks since I started it, I've had 1 headache, and 1 migraine. Not bad considering I usually get a migraine a week and headaches in between. Let's hope it keeps doing what it's doing! And heck if I got a placebo, I don't really care, I'm doing something right in my lifestyle to keep the migraines at bay.

Ooh, one thing I'm way excited about is, STEVEN GOT A JOB!!!!!!

And one he might actually like instead having to sit in a cubicle talking to angry people all day. I'm so happy for him and hope it is a great job. I know he's been trying forever for it. So go congratulate him on facebook or something (Id's say "on his blog" but he doesn't have one....yet =) ), it's awesome!

My parents returned this week from a 2 week long cruise to Nova Scotia. They got to tour all of Manhattan (my dad drove through times square, he's crazy), saw Prince Edward island(Anne of Green Gables!!!) and stayed on a super luxury cruise ship. They even got upgraded to a giant balcony room with a huge bed for FREE! lucky ducks. I got to play mom for two weeks with the cooking, cleaning and animal maintenance. Rachel helped a bunch, so it wasn't too bad. It made me realize how much I miss cooking. I haven't been cooking forever. I blame Steven 100%.

Haha, it's ok though, I'd take him over cooking and my other hobbies any day.

Tonight I've a got a girls night that should be fun. Lots of food, friends I haven't seen in a while, and just a good time. Last time I went was probably a year-ish ago. I'm excited!

Hope you are all as content as I am right now! Later!

And the fall crept in the room. Yet, no one noticed...

Uh, I've been having bouts of insomnia this month. Possibly the change in the air?
Can't sleep, so it's to the blog I turn to.

This sink will be mine. Don't mind the $2000 price tag.

This clock will be mine.

This purse will be mine. I have no idea where you get it, or how much it is, but it will be mine.

Who are all these genius people who are so amazingly good at making things I love?!?!

Heaven's, another one?!? I'll just have to take one of these to match my first one.

See, this next one I actually know where to buy. Costco, or 7/11. Yeah, if you need a gift Idea for me for Christmas, just buy me a full pallet of these. Yeah, a pallet should last me about a month.

Cheese Croissant. DROOOOOL

Got to figure out how to make my hair look like this, but when doing it to my own hair. I wish I had eyes in the back of my head, then I could stop making everyone else's hair look awesome and be selfish.

Yeah, I think I have a case of the "Gimmies" you know, Gimmie this, gimmie that.

Enough with the random thoughts. Going to bed.

I can't figure out what is up with my body lately.

Last October-November I got Mono.  NOT fun.  But hey, a painless way to lose lose 20 lbs.

Earlier this year it was Shingles.  SHINGLES people, the OLD person virus that even baffled my doctor.

Now I'm having pains around my kidneys, and with everything I've been researching it sounds like kidney stones.  What the heck?  Now I'm downing as much water as I can, taking pain pills and going to stop at Smith's on the way home and get a ton of cranberry juice.  Apparently my body needs to be more "alkaline" whatever that means.

On a happier note, I'm participating in a migraine study for the next six months and taking a new drug.  I'm praying I didn't get a placebo.  Plus I get $50 every time I go in for an appointment.  Woohoo, money!

Ooh, and another happier note, my sister Michelle is pregnant (has been for a while) and I'll have another nephew "Eli" by Thanksgiving.  I love me some babies!

Hmm, not much else going on with life right now.  Still working part time for the Foot Doctor, the YSA rep. calling in church keeping me busy, garden blooming like mad(well, dying now, it's getting colder these days), Just had my 1 year anniversary with Steven (Love you!), and all is well with the world.  I guess.  I can't complain.  Anyway, off to fix the back pain.

Cami & John 9.4.2010

Yesterday my childhood best friend Cami was married. I still remember the day the Leafty's moved in up the street and I went straight up after dinner to play with the "girl", as I called her. We'd spend the next 13 years as eachother's other half. We'd constantly et asked if we were sisters and twins. We were the same height, had the same dark, thick hair and were inseparable.

Being a bridesmaid and helping out with the wedding was so rewarding to be involved watching Cami take this giant step in her life. She looks so happy. Even though she'll now live in Clinton with her new husband and have a life not as much connected with mine, she'll always be my best friend from "up the street".

Rachel and I made the Groom's cake. John loves playing pool so Cami asked us to do something to do with that. After 2 days, our cake came out great and we were so proud to have it be included in an actual wedding! We got lots of compliments.

Steven was my lifesaver for this wedding. He chauffeured me around, did lots of waiting while I was helping with other things and getting beautified, came to the rehearsal and dinner, and was with me the entire day of the wedding. I don't think he complained once!

It was a long week, and I think this picture shows it well :)

If anyone really knows me, they I know I "highly dislike" having to be one of the single girls vying to catch the bouquet. Steven made me go stand in the group though. As in, he forcibly pushed me over to it. Yes I caught the bouquet (for the first time ever), and no I wasn't trying. Cami chucked it right at me after saying she was going for me. We'll see if anything becomes of it.

Congratulations to my old friend, I hope you have a wonderful happy marriage!
