All this weekend my sister RAchel and I have been attending the YSA summit at the U of U. Tonight was the last part, ending with Steve Young speaking at a devotional at the Tabernacle. Rachel and I were in the choir and performed three songs for the meeting. The songs sounded good (in my harsh musical opinion) and it was fun singing again after my vocal chords had been dormant for so long. Singing once a week in church and primary just doesn't cut for me. I need to be in some on going choir. College maybe, I've already done that kind. I'm in the market for a new choir.
Now, most of you know, I'm tall for a girl but still love my heels. Three inch heels to be exact. I knew tonight I would be standing quite a bit as well as walking from parking to the tabernacle. I was smart and wore flats. I ended up with three raw/blister spots as a result of my cnonservativism (Is that a word?). I just can't win. I think I'll have to resort to going barefoot from now on. How difficult can it really be to design a cute, heeled, comfortable shoe? Or even a flat comfortable shoe for that matter? We're nearing the terabyte norm in computer storage availability, cars that run on electricity, and an instant gratification world, yet we can't design something right that has been around for thousands of years.
I had a nap and can't sleep. But I feel a headache coming on, so I better hit the sheets.
Adios Amigos!
Lol! I went to the fireside as well. Good job singing, it was pretty. I also wore flats and got huge blisters...
