*sniffle sniffle*

Today is the second day in a row I've been moping about home with a head cold. You forget how nice it is to breathe until it's taken away I tell you what. Tissues tissues and more tissues along with some cough drops and and more tissues. So what better to do than blog, right?

This past weekend was the annual YSA Summit (young single adult conference). Rachel and I didn't make it to much this year, but it was still great! Especially the fireside at the SLC Tabernacle. Sis. Jane Clayson Johnson was the speaker and gave an inspiring talk about putting your trust in God and used the metaphor of being a pencil in the hand of God. It made me think of my life and its direction in a new perspective. I even brought a notebook to take notes, but was so enthralled I just listened the whole time. Hopefully they recorded it and I'll be able to find it online somewhere in the future.

Our garden has started to produce (finally) and we had some healthy vegetables the other day. It was DELISH!

We've enjoyed some gorgeous flowers this year too. Thanks to Walmart's bulb clearance sale, we've got some serious flowerage going on.

I can has cheezburger. Can life get better than this? I submit that it cannot.

This guy makes art via post-it note. They are hilarious. thought I'd share a couple.

This is what a manicure done by a 3 & 4 year old looks like. Mind you, these were boys who wanted to do my nails. They are the funniest kids I've ever babysat.

As some of you know, my calling (one of three anyway) is the pimary teacher for the 6 & 7 year-olds. Some days it feels like babysitting, and other times i actually get to teach them something they never knew. It is really rewarding and I love it. I usually get more out of the lesson than the kids because I get to spend time preparing it. I really enjoyed this week's lesson and even learned some new stuff from it. I printed out these tags for the kids and we talked about the blessings of being baptized. I think it's good for me to teach such simple doctrine because it's like a refresher course of the basics for me. Having the Holy Ghost was a point that really stood out as I was teaching. I'm so glad I have that comfort with me for the rest of my life if I'm worthy. Just thought I'd share that with you.

I've got mroe pictures to show you, but alas, blogger is having "internal issues" right now and I can't do anymore but type. I'll be back though. Being sick doesn't give you options for being productive. Until next time!
