bikes bikes bikes

I have been doing the whole ten mile bike ride a day thing with Randy for the past three weeks or so and have been doing fine with it. We go up cemetary hill daily as part of the "regime" too. We started on our way up when all of a sudden my lungs started aching. not like my asthma attack kind of ache, but a scary "I-feel-lke-I'm-dying" kind of ache. I got off my bike and practically collapsed onto the ground. I then proceded to puke my guts out till my organs were empty, and started to hyperventilate and my hands tightened up and I couldn't uncurl my fingers. Crazy eh? Randy stopped and told me how to breathe to stop hyperventilating(It happenss to him a lot for some reason, he usually passes out though) after about fifteen minutes I felt better and could breathe and stand again. We went home and I promptly collapsed again on the couch of exhaustion. Do you know how hard it is to ride two miles right after throwing up and hyperventilating? You should try it some time. Anywho, I felt better after a short nap, and even managed to go the last five miles that same evening. Randy and I went again today and all seemed just fine. I don't know what the deal was yesterday.
Michelle's (the sister one) mission president called us this morning to tell us our missionary was in the hospital. Apparently she has Dengue fever. Similarly known as "Bone breaking disease" because it feels like your bones are breaking. luckily though they detected it right away and sent her to the hospital and she might get released in a week or so when her blood electrolites have gone up. She's had a fever of 102 since saturday. very scary. They said she should recover and be able to go back to the field in a couple weeks or so. The only way you can get the disease is through mosquitoes, and with all the humidity there, It's a very comon thing. If you could just keep my big sis in your prayers.
Speaking of sis's, my little sis is DRIVING! She is going to drive tomorrow in drivers ed. Do you remember being in drivers ed? my little baby sister is going to be in full control of a moving peice of deadly machinery! YIKES!
Well, I need to go update my other blogs and a bunch of other stuff. I'm going to post all my recent wedding photos also. enjoy!

The symptoms you describe could have been signs of a pulmonary embolism. Yes, young women do get PEs especially if they have a hereditary condition called Factor V Leiden (about 10% of the population) and they take birth control pills. ... Then again you could have just overexerted yourself or gotten dehydrated.

A friend's daughter came very close to death from this, and she was mid 20's spinning instructor. Talk to your doctor, and if they don't know about this subject, find a better one. There has been a lot of press on this lately so do some Internet research.
